Introduction

Airway obstruction is a common illness in children. The causes range from acquired viral syndromes to congenital malformations. Given the relatively narrow pediatric airway, local obstruction can be life threatening. This textbook uses a multimedia approach to discuss the croup syndromes, acute epiglottitis, subglottic stenosis, and tracheo/laryngomalacia.
