Patient Preparation:
None

Contrast:
Barium

Technique:
Tip - short enema tip if possible.
Tape tip in securely.
Take an AP abdomen and laterial rectum spot films to start.
Start contrast with patient in a lateral position.
Take a lateral spot film of the rectum once it is distended with contrast.
Turn the patient then to supine and to prone in order to opacify the entire colon with contrast and reflux the terminal ileum.

Views to Take:
Scout - AP abdomen and lateral rectum
Lateral spot film of rectum once it is distended with contrast
Spot films of any transition zone.
AP abdomen once entire colon is opacified
