Make sure you can see C7-T1
Check the open mouth view for a Jefferson fracture
Check the alignment of the spine by checking 4 lines : anterior part
of the vertebral bodies, posterior part of the vertebral bodies =
anterior border of spinal canal, posterior border of the spinal
canal, posterior border of the spinous processes
Check articular facets and neural foramina
Check cervical-basilar relationships
Check prevertebral soft tissues
Check sinuses for air fluid levels and other skull structures for
fractures
